A hurdle to cross...
Welp, first roadblock. Thankfully, I expected these!
To give you the general gist, The LEGO® Group trademarked the minifigure, and they reserve the right to pursue legal action if they find an organization is using the minifigure in a way that would confuse consumers into thinking it was a LEGO® product (which is totally reasonable!). I realized the other day that if I want to release "11:30" to theaters and streaming, it would likely infringe on their trademark. Sooooo, now I have 2 options. 1: Switch to a different animation medium (e.g. Computer animation or Hand-drawn). OR 2: License the rights for the LEGO® Minifigure.
I am currently exploring both options, and I will let you know when I have a definite conclusion! This will delay the movie's production, but I am working to resolve this as quickly as possible!
Until next time, farewell, and keep creating!
